How long will flu particles hang around in air. unable to get shot but must go to drs today. have been ill w/ no sleep or eating , don't want to catch flu. can breathing in cloth protect?

Wash your hands!: Getting a flu shot, avoiding people who are ill, wearing a surgical mask, and having a strong immune system fortified by good diet and exercise, will all help prevent you from getting the flu. But meticulous hand washing, the use of hand sanitizers, and avoidance of touching your face will help also. Good luck. Lgromkomd.

No: Breathing into a cloth will not protect you. The particles are heavier than air so don't tend to flit but drop after a person coughs or sneezes where they stay alive for about 48 hours.
