Best protection: The best protection for your 3 month old is that everyone older than 6 months in your household has had a flu shot. Flu is transmitted by respiratory droplets not by contaminated clothing.

No: It is unnecessary to wash your nipples after feeding. Simply apply your breastmilk or a lanolin ointment after the feed to help keep them in good condition.

Is it best for me to drink whole milk while breastfeeding?

No: Probably not. The fat content of your milk won't depend very much on your fat intake, as long as your overall nutrition is good. And very, very few people in the developed world need the additional calories of whole versus lo-fat milk.

What happens if a child gets an adult flu shot?

7 doctor answers18 doctors weighed in
Dr. Annie Emmick
Pediatrics 27 years experience
No worries: The only difference between the flu shots is the dose: children under three get half the adult dose. That means a child will get an adult dose the day after his 3rd birthday, whereas the day before that birthday he would have received the smaller dose--half. Most importantly, the child is immunized against flu, which can be a terrible illness!

Which car seat is safest for my 3 month old child?

Rear facing harness: A rear-facing, harness-style infant carrier is the best at this age, typically one that "clicks" into a base that's firmly and correctly installed into the vehicle. Make sure you're using it correctly, and most of all don't forget that the driver is the most important safety feature of the car.
