When is it ok to take a newborn out to visit relatives, i know they're more likely to get sick then us.

Hard to say: To me the scariest issue in the 1st 2mo is an infant with fever. Thats because some of mothers germs can quietly transfer to baby at birth ; weeks later become a major infection. It is good not to expose your newborn to a lot of people in the first 6-8 wks when a fever might be a terrible germ or uncle freds cold. If around, they must practice good hand washing ; staw away if ill.
