Doctors, can my newborn get sick if my dog doesn't have his shots?

Unlikely to be pbm: Newborns are not at risk for the conditions dogs get shots for (except rabies). They are at risk for germs brought in on saliva or contaminating surfaces in the house.As long as you pay attention to hand washing around baby you are unlikely to have problems.
