Is it normal to feel as if a nerve in your leg is pulling , almost like a cramp ?

It is possible: Depending on the distribution of the sensation, but muscular pain is more common and more commonly referred to as a cramp. Nerve pain is described as more sharp, or "electric". A cramp is normal. Nerve pain from irritation is not. Have your doctor examine you. Should get a better idea.
