Requires diagnosis: From the brief description of the symptoms it could be either a calcium deficiency that can cause muscle cramps, an associated neuropathy or some variant of a restless leg syndrome. If it's occurring mostly at night/only while in bed it sounds more like RLS. See your PCP to rule out any other possible neuropathic causes.
