Nerve compression: Your symptoms suggest possible nerve compression at some location. Since the nerves to the upper limb originate in the spinal cord in the neck, compression can occur anywhere from the neck to the wrist. Numbness in the arm to the thumb can be caused by compression if the C6 nerve root. It can also be caused by compression of the radial nerve (arm or wrist) or the median nerve (cts). See ur dr.
