How long?: How long has this been going on? Are there any other associated symptoms, like fever, nausea, bloating, pelvic pain, etc. Could you have an ectopic pregnancy? Do you have history of ovarian cysts? The differential is extensive (what may be causing it). Don't let it go for too many days. Have it checked out by a professional. Avoid milk for now, try a bland diet brat (bread, rice, apple, toast).

Many causes of left lower abdominal pain in a young female: urinary (kidney stone), gyne (ovarian cyst, endometriosis, mittelschmerz, ectopic pregnancy) and GI (constipation, irritable bowel syndrome, colitis) in origin. Recommend evaluation by md if persists or worsens.
