Congratulations!: Many reasons. 1st, nicotine is a very addictive substance. Beyond that, the psycho/social habit elements are a perfect storm - it involves so many sensory components - smell, taste, feel, sight even a bit of sound. But a part i've discovered when helping patients is the breath pattern. The deep inhale, holding in and long, full exhale are really good for us (just skip the smoke). Folk miss that!
