I got a boxers fracture 2 days ago, my cast is uncomfortable. what would happen if i don't leave it on?

Fx.could displace: If you remove your cast or splint after sustaining a 5 th metacarpal neck fx.( boxers' fx.) you increase the chances of the fracture (re)- displacing ( coming out of place).Most of these fractures are treated non operatively w/ closed reduction ( jahss' maneuver) and splint/ cast.Follow your doctors' instructions. If the cast or splint is 'too tight' or causing inc.Pain, contact his office/ er.
