Inflammation: The nerve in your tooth is inflamed following the procedure. Don't know how deep your filling is, but your dentist does. Give the office a call to find out.

Vague: Duration and severity of the throbbing may dictate what you should do. If the tooth was just filled, make sure your bite is ok and you are not hitting the new filling first. If the pain has lasted for a few days, i would certainly call the dental office.
