Butterfly strips.: There are special band-aids, called butterfly strips. They span both sides of the cut and help keep it together. You can check your local pharmacy. They should carry them or something similar.

How hard is it to open a cut back open on the knee? I had 6 stitches removed 2 days ago after 14 days w stitches. I have steri-strips on it though.
When I kneel on my knee or press on it it feels like an open cut or burn but I feel no pain when I run or jump or walk. And it is not bruised.
I fell. Got open cut on knee & became infected. Went to Urgent Care & PA put me on Bactrim. Told me wash it & put nothing on it. I"m 2 days on antibiotic. I see no more puss/yellow color but it is red & little raw looking. does this seem right?
