Cut knee: You can begin with antibacterial soap and water, however if the cut is deep or appears to be infected (redness, swelling, drainage) or you are having a fever or chills, you should have this evaluated by a physician.

Clean wound: Just use copious amounts of water to flush out the wound as best as possible. Do not use hydrogen peroxide or iodine based compounds in the wound because they hurt good healthy cells also.
