You can.: Depending on the type of infections, where you get them, they can cause tympanic membrane perforation, scarring on the TM and alter the bones that are in charge of conducing noise. See your doctor, if this is a pattern, you might need to see an ENT specialist that can do special tests/ procedures to improve the situation.
