A member asked:

I am pregnant with my fourth child and have had "leaking" issues since after the third. is it a surgery where they put you under anaesthesia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Leaking after babies: Several types of surgical treatment, all require pain interruption. Spinal, epidural and general(asleep) are alternatives. Surgeon may have preference, but patient desire is important also. Spinal is quick, and you can be aware without pain. Epidural takes a little longer, may be aware. General is most common, totally out, time passes in an instant. If you are basically healthy, it is your choice.
