It depends: Depending on where the gunshot wound is and what structures were damaged will affect the length of time for healing. A gunshot that goes through a bone will take longer to heal that a gunshot that just goes through the skin and soft tissue.

Depends. : Younger non- smokers without diabetes tend to heal much faster than older smokers with diabetes. Superficial GSWs tend to heal much faster than gunshots to the colon or small bowel. A GSW to the arm or leg may heal quickly within a week or two in a young healthy person.
