First Question:: When was your last tetanus shot? If it has been >10 years or you don't know - than you need another one. If you have a particularly nasty puncture wound - you may need one if it has been > 5 years. Wound should be cleaned with soap ; warm water (antibacterial soap is good). It should be kept clean ; dry. If it becomes red, hot, swollen, has purulent drainage, red streaks - you need med tx asap.
