Brain tumor: Low grade astroctyomas can have a very variable course as far as growth. These are tumors that need to be monitored and if growth is suspected then therapies such as chemotherapy or radiation therapy might need to be given. You should be followed by both a neurosurgeon and a oncologist who specializes in tumors of the brain.
