Extremely rare: However, any cancer that isn't treated by surgery, radiation or chemotherapy will eventually kill the person who has it. A pituitary adenoma and a craniopharyngioma (a dangerous benign tumor that arises near the pituitary) are both to be distinguished from cancer but both need to be managed.
