Overstated: If you review the most recent literature, almost everybody agrees that the exorbitant expense of "radon-proofing" homes, especially for non-smokers, isn't a good use of money. The increased risk for non-smokers is so small that a reliable estimate can't be obtained. Otherwise it won't make you sick.
