It's a malignant...: ...Tumor originating in fatty tissue. Treatment may involve surgery plus or minus chemo and/or radiation. Sarcomas in general can be aggressive and not something a community oncologist sees often, so my personal practice is to refer these patients to academic centers where they can be evaluated by a multidisciplinary team with expertise in the field.
