Yes: High potency topical steroids are used. Sometimes a short course of Prednisone will be added, such as 20mg alternate days for 1 or 2 weeks.

Lichen Planus: Steroids can reduce inflammation which may help with this condition, but there is no definitive cure. Lichen planus is not contagious it occurs when our immune system attacks our mucous membranes. Lp can come and go.
