Please explain if it is safe to take alprazolam with 3 hydrocodone tabs?

That depends on many: Factors, not least of which is your level of tolerance to these medications, and what strength of hydrocodone and Alprazolam you are talking about. If these are the usual 5 mg tabs, and you had no experience with taking benzos with them, i would recommend no more than 0.25 mg of xanax (alprazolam) as first dose. There may be synergistic effects, so i would separate the doses by at least 4 hours.

Speak with your Doc: Generally taking 3 hydrocodone tablets together is not recommended unless your doctor prescribed it that way. However the combination of Alprazolam and that much hydrocodone together might cause side effects or sedation and respiratory problems (breathing issues). I would suggest before doing so make sure it is recommended by your prescribing doctor.
