Is it safe to quit xanax (alprazolam) and hydrocodone at the same time?

Not by yourself!: This depends on how much of each drug you have been taking and for how long. Xanax (alprazolam) can have a very severe and even life-threatening withdrawal when people are taking it daily in even therapeutic doses, even more so when taken in larger doses. It can cause seizures, delirium, profound hypertension and even death. Opiate withdrawal can be very unpleasant, and cause severe symptoms. Talk to your MD.
