Repeat ankle sprain: Remember the rice theory. Rest it, ice it, compress it then elevate it. Also take an anti- inflammatory medication to help reduce the swelling. If this doesn't help, see your foot specialist or podiatrist.

Physiotherapy: An ankle sprain usually results in disruption and weakening of your ankle ligaments. If it is not cared for well in the first instance, the weakened ligaments become prone to further sprains. You need to see a Physiotherapist who can help strengthen the ankle structures. You also need to look at the activities that are causing the sprain. Are you wearing correct footwear ? Are you warming up ?
