Yes, it can: Regenerate, both in function and size, but it would depend on the volume of splenic tissue you have left and its blood supply. In order to assess size, an imaging test such as ultrasound would be necessary. In order to assess function, sometimes blood work can help, but immune function cannot be assessed readily.
