A member asked:

How can cardiologists find if someone has a heart problem ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Full evaluation: Cardiologists do what other doctors do: start with taking a history, doing a physical exam - followed by an ekg, chest x-ray, and often an echocardiogram. Some people need additional testing such as a stress test, ct, MRI or angiogram, depending on the problem. Blood work ; prolonged arrhythmia monitoring sometimes is necessary too. There's no single test or simple way to determine heart health.
