Yes: A person who is taking drugs or drinking alcohol might seem to have a psychiatric disorder when in fact it is their intoxication that is creating that appearance. Another person could have a serious medical problem that mimics a psychiatric condition. However, once that is treated - they may feel fine. Someone with severe sleep deprivation or marked stress may also behave differently.
