Am i more likely to contract leishmaniasis in developed or under developed countries?

Over 90 countries: According to the center for disease control and prevention, cases of leishmaniasis in the United States are usually from people who have lived or traveled in one of over 90 countries in which it is found. There is leishmaniasis in parts of asia, africa, southern europe, the middle east, central america, south america & mexico. Leishmaniasis is found more often in rural than urban areas.
