Depends: Leishmaniasis is spread by the bite of an infected sandfly. Most infections are asymtomatic. When infections do occur the may be anywhere from 7days to many years after exposure.

Weeks to years: The first stage may last weeks to months depending on treatment. It affects skin. Recividans occurs years later in the skin and post-kazar can occur years later affecting skin and internal organs.
