Hard to say/clarify,: It's hard to say without more information. It may be just from resting that area against something like the other leg, or an allergic reaction, or an insect bite. You're on ortho tri cyclen, (ethinyl estradiol and norgestimate) a form of birth control and this is contra-indicated in those with thrombosis (clotting) issues. That's not to say that this is a clot but if it keeps coming back see your doctor to be sure it isn't.
