A member asked:

Can antipsychotics cause legs to shake while working out? does it have to do with a change in blood sugar or weakness in muscles from antipsychotics

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shakes with antipsyc: Definitely. It can cause orthostatic hypotension with increase blood flow to lower extremities, and it also can cause what is know as "akathisia" with shaking. Additionally tremor of the lower extremity, especially with exertion contributes. However it is treatable, so see your psychiatrist for evaluation and treatment.
