C-reactive protein: I've watched this formerly-arcane old test gain new popularity. While it's probably a marker for many things, including sometimes an open atherosclerotic plaque somewhere, nobody's claiming that a level somewhat higher than other folks', esepcially if you seem young and healthy, is a sign of a life likely to be cut short or any need for treatment. Eager to hear from others.
