A member asked:

On blood test result ,my total protein serum is 77g/l, is this too high? albumin serum is 47g/l and estimated gfris 86ml/min, is this all normal?,if not what are the possible diagnosis please? thanks

Normal values: Normal total protein is 66-83 g/L. Normal albumin is 35-55 g/L. Normal GFR is greater than 90. A person with a mildly low GFR may have very mild kidney disease or may be still within normal variation. A consultation with a physician is warranted for further advice.
