He needs to see doc: Levothyroxine would not be prescribed for hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the the thyroid is overactive, and produces too much thyroid hormone, including levothyroxine. Does "losing sexual pleasure" mean erectile dysfunction, less interest in sex, or inability to orgasm? Of these, i would think only interest in sex would be affected, and then only if thyroid levels are out of range.
