Can be both,,,: This isn't included in a CBC result as a count but can be part of a peripheral blood smear result as an observation, like "reticulocytes present", especially in patients with anemia. A blood counter in the laboratory can get a reticulocyte count by using a fluorescent dye on the red cells. This is done as a separate test. You can see your doctor for more information. I've had two blood test (6 months apart) (CBC,CMP) Both showed high billirubin(1.8), high RBC(5.82), high hemoglobin (17.3), and high hemacrit (51.8), all other tests normal. What tests I should get done, and what type of Dr. should I see? Thank you.

Is slight elevation in abs. leukocyte on CBC of concern in child? also elevated in urine... cmp had co2 and Alt slightly raised, reticulocyte low.
