Depends: For a simple uti/bladder infection, no imaging needed. If kidney infection (fever, chills, sick, flank pain); or a history of recurrent utis; or unexplained abdominal or flank pain; or concerns about possible kidney stones; then ct scan appropriate and best way to image the kidneys, abdomen, and pelvis. If still unclear, ask md why test is being ordered.
