May just be you: I'm going to assume that you do not have an enlarged thyroid or anything else to suggest hyperthyroidism. Despite all the "pop" wisdom about "healthy heart rates", my own experience after more than three decades in medicine is that different people's hearts go at different rates and if there's nothing to suggest illness, it's foolish to try to ask why or change the number.
