Yes: Late teenager feels that one of the vertebrae is "out of place". A chronic discomfort localized in a region of the spine in a young person usually reflects muscle, tendon, and/or ligament soft tissue mechanical stress and pain generation. Occasionally, there can be pain generation with spondylolisthesis, i.e., override of one vertebrae over another. Only an MRI or ct scan can discern.
