A member asked:

What are halluciantions like?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends what kind: Auditory hallucinations mean that the person hears things that aren't really there; sometimes schizophrenic patients think they hear voices talking to them. Visual hallucinations mean that the person thinks they see something that isn't there. This can result sometimes from fever or medication effects, and can be part of delirium. Olfactory hallucinations refer to imaginary smells.
