No, but: It's considered safer than alternatives - so.... If you really need a pain killer, it might be what you choose. While i understand that it's very hard to deal with addiction, it is possible for many. 12-step groups are often part of being successful. In this case - pain might have a silver lining if, while you obtain some relief, you also confront your addiction issues. You'd feel justly better!
