Help her find help: It's important that she not stop abruptly, but there are doctors who can help her wean correctly. More challenging problems might be the reason she was using it - pain?, insomnia?, etc. AND the reason for secrecy from you. Psychotherapy and perhaps Couples Therapy could help clear up those issues after she cleans up the addiction if there is one. It's Schedule IV - not as prone to abuse as some.

See below: Tramadol is a weaker opioid- like morphine/heroin/prescription pain meds. However, its weakness may be overcome by increased #s of pills. Overuse also risks seizures. She'll need opioid detox protocol, or maintenance with Suboxone or Methadone as treatment
