Try different things: You can try a lot of things. You can simpyl drinking more fluids and taking in more fiber. You can try oral medications like stool softeners or miralax (polyethylene glycol). Enemas should be reserved when other measures fail. If you need an enema, you should really talk to your doctor to figure out why it got so bad.
