Hi my 7 week old baby is in a lot of discomfort due to constipation. can we administer an enema, or should we rather use glycerine suppository ?

Pain/ constipation ?: Studies show a 7 wk old fusses an average of 2hrs/d for no identified reason. They fuss using their breathing muscle which makes the belly bulge & hard. Many assume they have pain. If stools are soft they are not constipated. If they are 1 oz of undiluted prune juice 1-3X/d can loosen them up in 2-3 days. You can do either but may find they do little.
