Depends on risk: Which test is done for evaluation of any symptom depends in part to patient's risk ; likelihood of having a certain condition. If a patient has multiple risk factors for coronary artery disease then angiogram may be recommended for evaluation of shortness of breath or chest pain. In a lower risk pt with normal ECG ; echo, angiogram might not be recommended. Discuss your concerns with your doctor.

No: Unless you're diabetic, your pretest probability is exceptionally low because of your age and gender (estrogen is protective). If your stress test is normal, your symptoms are not due to heart disease and the risk of an angiogram cannot be justified. What if you died during the test to prove that your arteries are normal? (it has happened though thankfully is rare).
