Prevention: In view of your age, history of elevated cholesterol and hypertension, i feel that daily aspirin(81mg) is some protection against heart attacks and strokes(not hemorrhagic stroke though). Of course you shouldn't take Aspirin if there are contraindications such as allergy, ulcers, bleeding tendencies, etc. And your blood pressure should be controlled.
