Maybe: If your waist size increased then weight training by itself is not going to get you back into your jeans. You need to get onto a low carb diet. Cut out all the carbs you know: breads, tropical fruit. Also cut down on your fats as well. Eat 5 meals a day. You need to do cardio to help burn up the fat around your waist as well.
