Drug interaction: Omeprazole can inhibit your body's metabolism of escitalopram by affecting the liver enzyme (cyp 2c19) needed for that process. So, escitalopram can build up more than expected for the dose taken. You need to observe carefully for any increase in side effects, and work closely with your doctor in monitoring this.
