Gassy: As we age, the stomach and digestion can change and age too. Certain foods may aggravate your stomach and cause more gas than others, so play detective and avoid your triggers. Increase fiber in your diet too. If truly problematic, see a GI dr. For an eval as you may some reflux issues or acidity problems, and medications may be beneficial. Best wishes.

Dyspepsia and "gas": Gi gas arises from maldigestion (enzyme deficiency like lactose intolerance), food intolerance (ex. Gluten sensitivity), fermentation (as with bacterial overgrowth syndrome or changed flora after antibiotics), altered GI tract motility/gastroparesis, excessive air swallowing, inflammatory ; infectious causes. Any peptic symptoms, early satiety? Tried acid blockers yet? Also look up fod-map diet.

Try Gas-X for gas.: Keep a food diary and try to identify what type of foods make it worse. A noisy stomach is not necessarily a sick stomach.See your doctor if there is associated pain, cramps, diarrhea, constipation, weight loss, nausea, fever, black/dark stools.
