Fractures of growth : plates in infants heal quickly, casted if needed, without impacting limb growth if the blood supply to the growth plate was not disrupted, the infant has no neurological, genetic or other medical disorder that impairs healing or confers susceptibility to re-injury, or the infant is not at risk for repeated non-accidental trauma. See niams.nih.gov/health_info/Growth_Plate_Injuries/default.asp.
